Corpus Christi—On Saturday, March 20, the Forney High School girls’ power lifting team made their presence known in a big way at the State Meet by winning three medals.

Giresse Forchu and Coach Jamie McGee represented the North Forney Falcons at their first men’s regional power lifting championship in Rusk, Texas last Saturday, March 13. Giresse (on left) placed 5th in the 198 lb. classification with a total of 1,270 pounds—only 80 pounds short of making the State Meet!

Lindale (March 6, 2010)—Coming into the Region III Division 1 Power Lifting Championships, Rishaad Wimbley knew that he would need to perform at a very high level if he wanted to make it back to the State Meet.
