Giresse Forchu and Coach Jamie McGee represented the North Forney Falcons at their first men’s regional power lifting championship in Rusk, Texas last Saturday, March 13. Giresse (on left) placed 5th in the 198 lb. classification with a total of 1,270 pounds—only 80 pounds short of making the State Meet!

Rusk (March 13, 2010)—Last Saturday, Giresse Forchu became the first athlete in North Forney’s school history to compete at the Regional Power Lifting Championships.
Overall, he did quite well as he finished 5th in his 198 lb. weight class by lifting a personal best total of 1,270 lbs. (500 Squat, 300 Bench, and 470 Dead Lift) By finishing in the Top 5, Forchu earned a medal in recognition of his fine performance.
