Our hearts are sad, of course, to learn of Jimmie Nix’s death. We have missed her presence at The Center since she has been at Windsor. Sincere sympathy for her family and her many long-time friends. In her memory, I would share a reading that I have saved from The Dallas Morning News sometime prior to 1964, titled “THE SHEPHERD” by Julien C. Hyer, sub-titled “Eternity”: “You’ve left your dear one at the tomb and life for you is filled with gloom. But Jesus said there is prepared a ‘House of Many Mansions,’ reared by God’s own hand, where they shall dwell who’ve served Him faithfully and well. Don’t you believe His holy word? Have faith in what you’ve read and heard. My friend, your loved one just resumes life in God’s larger, brighter rooms.”
