Owner of Best Western receives part of infrastructure grant

Bill Cates, President of the Forney Economic Development Corporation, presents a check for $42,500 to Charles Helm, owner of the Best Western Christopher Inn and Suites. The check represents 50% of a $85,000 street, water and sewer infrastructure grant provided by the EDC to offset some of the costs of the construction of the facility. The remaining 50% of the funds will become available at the end of one full year of operation.
