The Clay Jones Legacy Foundation is honored to serve as the main sponsor of Fiona Akoth as she prepares to attend the National Youth Leadership Forum on National Security in Washington, D.C. Fiona is a student at Forney High School, where she participates in National Honor Society, UIL Academics, Varsity Swimming, and Student Council, among other things.
The Legacy Foundation provided Ms. Akoth with enough money to cover the significant costs associated with her attendance of the forum and also defray a portion of her travel expenses. The Foundation is very honored to sponsor a student like Fiona. It was an easy decision to support her efforts. After learning about Fiona’s significant involvement in so many positive school activities and receiving numerous recommendations from FISD teachers, the Foundation voted to fund all of Fiona’s tuition and also cover those travel expenses that she had not yet been able to meet. Fiona represents all of the things that Clay held important during his time at Forney High School. She is a great athlete, a dedicated student, a positive role model, and maintains very high goals for future achievement. Fiona’s invitation to attend the forum is a prestigious one, as only a few students from schools around the nation are honored with the opportunity to attend. The Clay Jones Legacy Foundation is very proud of Fiona and hopes the Forum on National Security will be the next step toward her goal of a career in government.
The Forum will be held during the month of October.
