All three Longhorn teams made it to the playoffs this year. They played in Kaufman on Saturday. It was an all-day event.
The K-2 started at 9:00 a. m. playing against Eustace. These boys were tough and played in the cold. In spite of shivering hands and cold feet they came on strong and put up an awesome defense, winning the game 6 to 0.
Next, the 3-4th played at 1:00 p. m. against Kaufman. it was still cold and the wind was piercing, but they played a great game. They started out strong with a touchdown in the beginning seconds of the game. It was an intense, well-matched game, but in the end the 3-4th lost, 6 to 7.
Finally, the 5-6th played beginning at 7:00 p. m. against Kaufman. They were ready. The teamwork and dedication of these boys came shining through as they played an offensive game, completely shutting out Kaufman and winning 20 to 0.
Our K-2 and 5-6th will move on to the Superbowl next Saturday, playing in Kaufman.
