It was the most anticipated game between two teams—the Forney Jackrabbits and the Forney Longhorns.  FPWA hosted a “Forney Fan Appreciation Day” as well, with a $1.00 admission for all.  FPWA would like to thank everyone that supports youth football, cheer and drill.

K-2 started off the day looking great on the field.  The boys have made a huge improvement since last week.  Plays came together and the teamwork was clicking. The boys ended up with a tie game against the Longhorns, 6-6.

The 3-4 Jackrabbits endured a great fight and put up 6 points but fell short at the end of the game.  The Longhorns scored a second touchdown and sealed our fate with a loss of 6-13.  These boys put forth a tremendous effort and should walk tall and proud.

The 5-6 Jackrabbits stepped on the field, ready to play ball. Right out of the gate, the Jackrabbits put up 6 and continued to play a solid game.  A Longhorn interception which lead to a touchdown and a successful extra point put the Jackrabbits down by 2 points. With blood, sweat and tears the Jackrabbits just couldn’t pull out a win, losing to the Longhorns 6-8.

A special thank you to all the Team Moms and volunteers who took part and helped create the decorations, balloons and signs.  Jackrabbit Pride flowed through the stadium; it truly was a “Black and Gold” day.
