FORNEY – The Forney Independent School District Board of Trustees approved the hiring of Kenneth Pearce as the new principal at Warren Middle School during a special board meeting on Monday, June 23, 2008. Pearce replaces Judy Wilson as principal at Warren Middle School who retired earlier this year.

Pearce comes to the Forney ISD from Lake Dallas ISD where he served the district as the Assistant Principal at Lake Dallas Middle School. Prior to becoming the assistant principal at Lake Dallas Middle School, Pearce was a science teacher and administrative intern at Creek Valley Middle School in Lewisville ISD. He was also a science teacher at College Station Middle School in the College Station ISD and taught science and was a coach at Vanston Middle School in the Mesquite ISD.

“Children inspire me to love the teaching profession,” Pearce said. “I believe every child has a right to a good life but that is unfortunately not always the case. Education is the one gift that can transform the destiny of a child and teachers have a chance to light the way and help young people find direction. As an administrator, I shape the environment for both teachers and students and my decisions have great impact on campus success. It is my sincere aspiration to become an integral part of shaping positive change for the education process.”

Throughout his career in education, Pearce has implemented and initiated numerous programs such as the Science Department TAKS Alignment Program, the New Teacher Development Program, a Math and Language Arts Block Program, a Campus Discipline Management Program and a Campus Emergency Procedure/Evacuation Plan.

Pearce attended Texas A&M University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science Technology and his Secondary Biology Certification. He earned his Master’s Degree in Education Administration from the University of North Texas in Denton.
