Several facilities in Forney ISD were damaged during the storm that passed through the community on Saturday, May 2. A stadium light pole at Brown Middle School collapsed and a gas line broke due to falling debris. The Forney Fire Department turned off the gas and the line was fixed on Sunday morning.

Blackburn Elementary School lost some metal flashing on the west side of the building. The flashing was removed from the property.

A roof drain at Forney High School dislodged due to an excessive volume of water which caused water to leak into the auditorium. FISD maintenance staff is working on repairing the leak and the water and the debris has been cleaned up in the auditorium.

Part of the fence and the home dugout roof at the FHS baseball field was damaged. Repairs will be made to both during the week of May 4.
