On Tuesday evening, May 13, students in the fourth grade classes at Criswell Elementary School hosted parents and friends for their annual Live Museum.
The Tuesday night engagement was preceded by a non-dress rehearsal Monday morning in the school cafeteria, where the accompanying photos were taken. Photos represent a sampling of the participants and the characters they represented.
The Live Museum, introduced into Forney ISD some 15 years ago by teacher Everell Eckeberger, teaches students history by giving them the opportunity to research a famous person—usually one in U. S. history from the nation’s inception to the present—and then to dress like the character. Students memorize a capsule summary of their character and then perform it for anyone who “activates” the character during the Live Museum.
