Black History Month was celebrated with spirit at Brown Middle School.
Mr. Joe Stewart opened the assembly lending his voice to the celebration. Ms. Patrice Walker spoke directly to all students reminding them that they had the potential to do anything!
Ms. Cecelia Dilworth sang “Lift Every Voice and Sing!”, beautifully.
Mrs. Karly Tyson reminded us that we should value a person for their character not their looks.
The Brown Middle School Band did a fantastic job keeping the day bouncing with enthusiasm. The choir sang and theater arts performed mini speeches.
Thanks to these classes and to Mrs. Leah Corcoran and Ms. Jessica Kent and the “driving force” behind the entire celebration—Mr. Tony Jackson. The assembly was an uplifting experience, truly an American celebration.
