Third grade class at Blackburn holds Mini-Metric Olympics in measurement study

Mrs. Carrie Keenan’s third grade class reviewed measurement by having a mini-metric Olympics. They participated in activities such as: paper plate discus, paper straw javelin and cotton ball shot, all put to review measuring with centimeters.
Students also participated in the following Olympic events: the right handed marble grab for measuring grams, the left handed sponge squeeze to measure with milliliters, and the big foot contest to review area.
