Students at Blackburn are rewarded for doing good deeds and putting forth their best character traits, with a Blackburn buck. When a student is caught doing a good deed for another student, teacher or even doing something to help our Blackburn campus be a nicer cleaner place to be they are rewarded with a Blackburn Buck. Students put their name on the Blackburn Buck and place it in a can in the office for a drawing to be held each Friday. Their reward is a prize from the office prize drawer. The following students are to be commended for their good deeds and fantastic character, for the week of January 9, 2009:, Bailee Bissell, Jacob Adams, Kayla Beers, Mark Gonzalez, Jaylan Smith, Erica Woods, Barclay Ford, Katelin Papageorge, Willem Updike, Raina Schleifer, Kaylee Woods, Luke Hughes, and Laramie Patton.
