Blackburn 1st graders put on barnyard play

On Thursday, April 16, 2009 Blackburn Elementary’s first grade students preformed a musical and poetic “Barn Yard Play”.
Blackburn’s music teacher, Mrs. Teresa Dodson, with the assistance of the first grade teachers Mrs. Amber Burt, Mrs. Amy Lemons, Mrs. Myesha Hunter, Mrs. Traci Gandara and Mrs. Emilie Mason. worked with the students to learn the songs, memorize their speaking parts and direct the program.
The performance was magnificent, not one line was forgotten and the singing was just awesome. The production was complete with a big red barn, cows, pigs, goats, and chickens.
The large audience ooo’d and ahhhh’d throughout the performance and gave a standing ovation at the end.
